Big things happening here in MICHIGAN!
What’s happening smoking mad lovers! Here’s some big news for you competitive pushers out there. There is going to be an IDSA marathon race taking place in Grand Rapids this summer. This is the same organization that puts on The Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon so you can see how there is awesome potential in getting this thing promoted and bringing attention to our local scene! This event has been in the planning stages for a couple months, but we have finally nailed down a time and place. MARK THIS ON YOUR CALENDAR! The marathon is going to take place on June 23 at Millennium park. The IDSA is working right now on adding this event to their official schedule for 2012. There are still a few details to be worked out including putting an official name to the event so keep yourself updated on this thing. Please note that this event is going to take some promoting and planning, but the goal is to put it on track with Adrenalina and the like so show how much you support your scene. The more we can get by way of sponsorships the more we can offer in the way of PRIZE POOL! All right, so that’s the heads up. Keep that enthusiasm bubbling because there is sure to be more info in the future. This new info will include stuff like other events that we will be adding to the main attraction. We’re looking for interest in slalom, sprint races, and stuff like that. Your input is not just encouraged, it is crucial in putting on the event we all want to brag about! So be sure to give us info in any form available to you and get yourselves in Drop thru, Concrete wave, or maybe the storm of internet promotion and discussion that goes on surrounding these things. THIS IS GOING TO BE AAAAWESOOOOMMMME!!!

It will be 26.2 miles and we’ll have a course posted soon. They’re making more trails this year so we’re seeing what that will look like before we post something for certain, but no matter what, it will be a 26.2 mile IDSA sanctioned race, putting the winners in standing with the winners of the adrenalina races and the rest of the races on the 2012 tour.
Drang has been wanting to see a longjump contest. Rather than an overly kicked kicker ramp, or a boring wedge kick, building a slightly transitioned launch ramp that keeps the height down, but the distance UP and then have a pissing contest.
If it happens Ill be there.
